Credible Solar is an American solar company founded in Little Elm, Texas in 2019 by Dallas native, Dru Benn. Dru’s grandfather, Clyde Benn, moved to New York from Trinidad in the 1960’s where he met his wife and Dru’s grandmother, Janice. Despite being immigrants, Clyde and Janice managed to put all 4 of their kids through ivy league schools. Clyde was a pilot in the US Air Force and fought in the Vietnam war and Gulf War to eventually rise to the rank of Colonel. Clyde ended his military career as a commander on an AWACS. Clyde believed discipline, respect, and hard work would make anyone successful in this country regardless of race, creed, or color. He and Janice passed these values down to their children before he passed away in 2000 from cancer related to Agent Orange.

Dru was born-and-raised in Dallas, Texas and started attending in the University of North Texas (UNT) in January 2015. He worked all  through college at a solar company that operated remotely from the west coast and mistreated his customers. Dru walked into a solar industry that was riddled with old door-to-door vacuum salesman that could care less about solar energy or customer service and as a result, created Credible Solar.
